|Title||Parade - Allied Print Float|
|Description||Parade float for the Allied Printing Trades Coucil. Rosemary Son is the second girl from the bottom. Visible through the trees is the old Opera House on Alamo Plaza. Black and white.|
Pictures probably made September 5, 1921 (Labor Day), the same day as the rolled up picture of the Topographical Union. I am on the float. In the small picture I am standing next to the torch. The building in the background of the small picture appears to be the Menger Hotel.
Notice in the larger picture at the top left is the late-lamented sign (in this picture it advertises misteltoe milk ice cream butter) with the cowboy roping a steer. Through the trees at the far right one may glimpse the old Opera House. - Rosemary Son
McElfatrick & Son designed the Opera House.
