"This folder contains pictures of Mexican entertainers who came to San Antonio. They include Cantinflas, Paco Miller & Don Rogue and his company, and other singers/actors." - Rosemary Son Anderson was acting mayor during several weeks of January 1944. Cantinflas is the stage name for Mario Moreno Reyes. Comedian/actor Cantinflas; actresses Esther Fernandez, Elvira Rios, and Paquita Estrada; actors Joaquin Pardave, Miguel Angel Ferriz and Jorge "Che" Reyes; singers Hermanas Aguila and Hermanos Huesca; and one-armed guitarist Victor Manuel, were all brought to San Antonio by Ramiro Cortez.
